About
Hello and welcome to my blog! Let me introduce myself.
I am a marketing and communications professional with more than eight years of experience. I am currently the public information officer for the Tennessee court system, which includes the state Supreme Court, appellate courts and trial courts.
For the past three years, I have also consulted small businesses and non-profits on marketing, communications, public relations and social media.
Before joining the court system in May 2009, I worked for the Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration where I served as the communications director for Project Edison. Prior to joining state government three years ago, I served as the director of marketing and special events for Glenwood School for Boys and Girls, a Chicago area non-profit organization. I also worked as account executive at Lovell Communications, a Nashville-based public relations firm.
I graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Journalism. As a proud Mizzou alumnus, I founded the Nashville chapter of the Mizzou Alumni Association seven years ago and currently serve as its president. I am also a member of the Conference of Court Public Information Officers, the Nashville Kappa Delta Alumnae Association and Our Savior Lutheran Church. I also enjoy volunteering for a variety of organizations, such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Middle Tennessee and Front Porch Ministry.
Most importantly, I love spending time with Garth, my husband of five years, and our chocolate lab, Bailey.
